About
ALEX CONWAY, LMHC
(PUP DISCO 🪩)
Hi, I'm Pup Disco! I firmly believe in the power of living authentically — not just as a therapist, but as someone who knows this community from the inside. I know what it's like to wonder if you're "normal," to worry about judgment, to navigate sharing this part of yourself with loved ones, and to crave genuine connection with people who get you and see your full self.
I'm here to help you on your journey of self discovery, so you can live more fully, and build the confidence and connections that make life richer and more joyful.

Your authentic self is waiting. Let's find the way there together
My Approach
I want to start with something important: you're not broken. You're not too much or too little. You're simply human, exploring what brings you joy and connection—and that's beautiful.
You'll find me curious rather than judgmental, warm rather than clinical, and absolutely committed to helping you live authentically and joyfully.
Rather than focusing on what's wrong, I work from what's possible — what brings you joy, what authentic living looks like for you, what thriving means in your life.
Whatever your goals, we'll explore it together at your pace. Some sessions might be practical (like preparing for important conversations), others might go deeper into identity and belonging. I'm honored you're considering letting me support you on your journey.
Specializations
My clinical training started in 2013 at The George Washington University. My work in LGBTQ+ mental health goes back further, to 2012 at The Trevor Project and the ACLU of Michigan's LGBTQ Project. I was licensed as an LMHC in New York in 2024.
I'm here to guide you with empathy, and practical evidence-based tools for building confidence, deepening connections, and managing whatever life throws at you. These are some of the tools I have found most effective with clients:
